This summer, Sassy Woof had the honor of partnering with Lucky Dog Rescue at the Darcy Hotel in Washington D.C. to celebrate National Dog Day. The event was celebrated at the hotel’s outdoor patio and was turned into a stage with a fashionable red carpet for the adoptable pups to walk. With dog friendly treats, themed cocktails, and a fun show ahead!
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue, a devoted, volunteer-powered nonprofit focuses on giving homeless & at risk dogs and cats, a second chance. Lucky Dog utilizes a foster based network and has a rescue campus down in South Carolina. All animals are ensured to get the care they need at Lucky Dog before finding their forever families. Lucky Dog hosts regular adoption meetups in the surrounding local areas, where hopeful adopters get to meet available dogs and learn about the application process.
We were able to hang out with adorable adoptable pups like Tonna, Maeteo, Lukas, and more. They truly shined that night and all went home in their new Sassy Woof outfits! For more information, please check out Lucky Dog Animal Rescue!
It was a wholesome experience & a joy to see the community come together, not only to celebrate our furry friends, but also to support Lucky Dog’s incredible mission of finding fur-ever homes. From the laughter and photos, to the meaningful conversations about rescue, this event was the perfect mix of fun, paw-shion, and purpose.
